Flavour Profile
Rich and smoky with a tangy, herb-forward character and a subtle warmth. Complex and deeply satisfying — a seasoning that works as hard on the BBQ as it does in the pan.
How to Use Smoked Piri Piri
-
Chicken: The classic pairing. Marinate chicken thighs or breasts for at least 20 minutes before grilling, pan-frying, or roasting.
-
BBQ Rub: Apply generously to ribs, lamb cutlets, or prawns before hitting the grill.
-
Vegetables: Toss through capsicum, zucchini, corn, or sweet potato before roasting for a smoky, Portuguese-inspired side.
-
Piri Piri Sauce: Combine with olive oil and lemon juice for a quick marinade or drizzling sauce.
-
Piri Piri Dip: Mix 1 teaspoon into 100mL of natural yoghurt, sour cream, or mayonnaise for a smoky, tangy dip.
